Rules for Colorado Over 50 Baseball

The following addendums for Colorado Over 50 Baseball will supersede all present rules in any other baseball league. When a rule is not addressed or specified in the following addendums, the rules will revert to those established for traditional baseball play by the National Baseball Congress: Revised for 2015 (same for 2016)

Tie Breakers

If two or more teams are tied in the standings at any time during the season, tie breaking rules will apply to determine which team is officially higher in the standings. The tiebreaking system will utilize the following hierarchical format:

  1. Winning percentage: The team with the highest winning percentage will be ranked higher.
  2. Head to Head: the team with the most wins against that specific team will be ranked higher.
  3. Fewest Runs Allowed, Head to Head: The team that allowed the fewest runs when the teams played each other will be ranked higher.
  4. Fewest Runs Allowed within the division during the regular season.
